10 typefaces and fonts to fall in love with

I really love to work with different typefaces. There are too many useful and nice choices that you can spend a few days to search the right typeface you need for your project or something. But it's really hard to know where to use what type of font. Many people use Arial or Times New Roman for websites but these wedesigns are boring because these two typefaces are everywhere when you are using Windows. When you use Ubuntu you can see the beauty of the Ubuntu font family. It's used also everywhere in Ubuntu but i like it because it's really beautiful.

To help you what typefaces you can use i picked 10 typefaces that i like. Some are free and some are not but they are useful though they are not free. Designers works hard to make these fonts and we should pay for them because no everyone will do that for free and we would lose the best designers of typefaces.

Serif

1. TisaPro

In this typeface you can find the beauty of serif fonts. And because of this typeface i realized that Times New Roman is the right typeface for news but not for web aplications and slideshows. This typeface is smooth and nothing will disturb you while reading. You can buy this typeface here or you can use Typekit from Adobe. There is also sans-serif version but i prefer serif in this case.f:id:BartonX:20080518225948j:plain

2. Museo Slab

Museo Slab is as name says slab font. This typeface is in my opinion the right choice to use in headlines. This typeface is sharp, clear and simple. Nothing much to say. Just pure and nice fontface. This typeface isn't free but quality is expensive. You can buy and download it here.

3. AW Conqueror Slab

I found this font right now on internet. I like serif slab fonts. It's like the font before up there. It's clear and simple but this font isn't that sharp. I think this font perfectly fit to places with darker colors and not significant colors. There is whole font family named AW Conqueror and there are many fonts but i like most this font. Whole font family you can find here.

5. Source Code Pro

I think almost every programmer or coder know Source Code Pro because it's implented in many IDEs and i see it often. Maybe every day i don't know what type of font i use in my Sublime Text right now. But Source Code Pro you can find not only in IDEs but for example this blog uses it for headlines. Feel free to download it or use it online in web project on Google Fonts.f:id:BartonX:20140329072139p:plain

For headlines, paragraphs of text or in design projects and it will always look great. Sometimes i use Ubuntu just to look how elegant font family can be and how it's perfectly made for every use. 8. Thirsty Script Extrabold

I don't use script fonts often but when i start search some great in this section i found this. I think i will use this script typeface in future project because i found this typeface absolutely awesome. It's easy to read and it's elegant. That means it's different than other script fonts that are more decorative and/or funny. Download link.

9. Amplify

I think this script typeface will be nice in headers or something. Not that mich easy to read (now i mean letter "f" for example) but it's nice and looks pretty good with some pattern background as you can see below. Download link. (for personal use only)

10. Cupolaroman font

Chosing last font or typeface was pain because i never was much interested in script fonts. And that's why i choose this font. It looks like serif modern (capitals at least) but it's actualy script font. Capitals are good to use in headers and otherwise it looks good using in short page description in headers below main headline. Download link.
